VNA

The first Hyatt brand luxury resort and spa complex in Vietnam is under construction in the central resort city of Danang, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The five-star Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is the second project in Vietnam for the American Hyatt group, after the Park Hyatt Hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

Funded by Indochina Land, the real estate division of financial service firm Indochina Capital, the US$130 million project is part of the group’s plan to invest $500million in hotels and resorts in the central Vietnam.

The 20-hectare complex lies between the beach and the Ngu Hanh Son mountain range, a famous landmark of central Vietnam.

It includes 226 hotel rooms, 174 high-end apartments including penthouses with sea views and 27 double-story villas also with sea views.

The Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is also a gateway to other popular tourist attractions in the central region. The complex is only 10 kilometers from the UNESCO-listed Hoi An and 80 kilometers from the former imperial city of Hue.

The project is expected to be complete by 2011.
