Spanish broadcaster to air documentary on post-war Vietnam
A documentary on Vietnam following the war will hit the small screen in Spain and other European next month thanks to Spanish national broadcaster, Televisión Española (TVE).
The 40-minute film, due to debut on the network on November 29 this year, will feature the images of Vietnamese Agent Orange victims and the mine clearance work of international charity organizations in the country as well as local efforts to find Vietnamese soldiers who were missing in action.
A TVE crew, led by Angela Garcia, wrapped up two weeks of filming in Vietnam on last Thursday.
“I really admire the Vietnamese people who have forgiven what happened in the past to build their future,” Garcia said. “The footage we have captured here will help Spanish people have a better understanding of the consequences of war in Vietnam to work towards the goal of helping the world avoid experiencing the same loss again.”
