Maine lobster to hit HCMC hotel’s menu
Compiled by Minh Tri

A wide selection of exquisite dishes made from Maine lobster will be presented to diners at the New World Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City as part of the Maine Lobster Festival 2010 to take place next week.

The lobster-based dishes will be the main focus of a number of seafood buffets offered at the five-star hotel’s Parkview Restaurant during the festival to take place from January 28 to February 3.

Shipped live to HCMC from the cold waters of North Atlantic, the dishes from Main lobsters, also known as “King of crustaceans”, will bring a genuine culinary experience to local and foreign food lovers in the southern hub.

Among these dishes to be presented by the hotel’s executive chef, David Rejhon, are Maine lobsters with herbs and garlic butter, grilled lobsters with basil or steamed lobsters with mustard and lemon butter sauce.

The Parkview Restaurant will also continue with its nightly selection of prawns, mollusks, crabs, blue river shrimps and snails among others.

Tickets to the festival are sold for VND888,000 (US$48) per person. The buffet will be available from 6p.m. until 10p.m. daily.
